Special Event: USA Gongkwon Yusul Seminars with the Founder of Gongkwon Yusul

June 5th - 8th 2026

We are proud to announce a once in a lifetime opportunity to train with the Founder of Gongkwon Yusul, Grandmaster Jun Kang from Korea, for a 4-day event in the United States!

Grandmaster Kang will be teaching seminars for all levels of students at seminars over 4 days including seminars for people to become instructors of Gongkwon Yusul. This will be an event you do not want to miss!

Open Seminars

Open seminars are for any student (color/black belt), age 14 and up, who have at least 6-months martial arts experience at a martial arts school in good standing.

Fees

  • One Seminars
    • $150 (IGA members $100*)
  • All Three Seminars
    • $200 (IGA members $150*)
* IGA is the International Gongkwon Yusul Association membership with yearly membership fees paid.

Schedule

  • Friday
    • 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm- Seminar
  • Saturday
    • 10:30 am to 12:00 pm- Seminar
    • 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm- Seminar
    • 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm- Group Photo
    • 6:00 pm- Dinner (not included in seminar fee)

Instructors Seminars

The instructors seminars are meant for two groups of martial artists:
  1. New Gongkwon Yusul instructors. Those who would like to train to become a blackbelt and instructor of Gongkwon Yusul.

    Please contact us at: usgongkwon@gmail.com to inquire about the requirements and approval process.
  2. Current Gongkwon Yusul instructors. Those who are already certified instructors through the International Gongkwon Yusul Association.

    An active IGA membership and a copy of your instructor’s certificate are required to sign up.
For a limited time, there is a special discounted price for the instructors course. The $3,000 school license fee is waived for anyone signing up at this event.

Fees

  • New instructor - $2,500 (this includes all 4 seminar days, up to 14 hours of future training sessions to achieve black belt, and the instructor’s package, certification, and school license. For more information, please contact us at: usgongkwon@gmail.com)

    The Instructor's package includes: an Official uniform, Official t-shirt, 2 instructor's training DVDs, Theory manual for Gongkwon Yusul, and official Dan rank and instructor's certification from the International Gongkwon Yusul Association after completing testing requirements.

    • One seminar - $100
    • All four seminars - $250
    • All four seminar days - $300 (open and instructor's seminars)
