Certified Gongkwon Yusul Instructors Course
The Gongkwon Yusul Instructors training course is designed for school owners and martial artists who would like to become certified to teach Gongkwon Yusul as a program in their current school or for them to open a new school. All Gongkwon Yusul instructors must be dedicated to achieve the understanding of the basic concepts, values, philosophy and system of Gongkwon Yusul with keeping safety as the top concern.
We are looking for Black Belts all over the United States and North America to become instructors for the future of Gongkwon Yusul.
The program includes:
You will learn:
- Tagyeongi (striking techniques)
- Sugi (hand and arm strikes)
- Joksul (kicking and leg strikes)
- Sul Gi (Standing grappling and strikes)
- Mechigi (Throwing techniques)
- Wasul (Ground techniques)
- Gwanjeolgi (Joint locking techniques)
- Matdaegi (Distance exercise with partner starting with the back of the hands touching)
- Samwonbon (Combination exercises of flowing essential Gongkwon Yusul techniques)
- Hyeong (Patterns)
- Daeryeon (Fight exercises with a partner and includes free style fighting)
You will receive:
- 1st Degree Black Belt certification from Korea (International Gongkwon Yusul Association) after passing your exam
- An instructor's license from Korea (International Gongkwon Yusul Association) after passing your exam
- A School License (permission to operate your own school or program) after passing your exam
- The sole person allowed to operate an Official Gongkwon Yusul in your city
- The possibly to become a USA Gongkwon Yusul representative, regional manager or director
- 2 Videos from the Founder of Gongkwon Yusul with a lot of the curriculum to learn
- Gongkwon Yusul Book from Grandmaster Kang
- Official Gongkwon Yusul Uniform from Korea
- Official Gongkwon Yusul T-shirt from Korea
- Online and offline support from the US association and the director, regional manager or representative
- Permission to test your students for color belts after passing your exam
- Use of the Gongkwon Yusul logos with permission, after passing your exam
- You will have the ability to attend Gongkwon Yusul in-person seminars, taught by a director or a regional manager in the United States or at one of the other schools
- You will have the ability to ask the director or regional manager to have a seminar at your location with permission
- You will have the ability to train with Grandmaster Jun Kang, the founder of Gongkwon Yusul in Korea
Requirements:
- You must be 21 years or older
- You must be a Black Belt in a recognized martial arts (copies of your certification and ID are required)
- You must be able to respect other people
- You must be willing to teach, and share what you have learned with others
- Training is a minimum of 48 hours (must include a minimum number of in-person training)
You must commit to:
- Training in-person at least once a year at a seminar under a director or the founder
- Promoting Gongkwon Yusul by teaching
- Teaching the Gongkwon Yusul system safely
- Only use Gongkwon Yusul equipment
- Post a Gongkwon Yusul sign on the training floor
- Following the rules set up by the US and International GongKwon Yusul Association
- Pay the Yearly Membership fees to the International Gongkwon Yusul Association ($50-$100)

- $1,500 paid directly to The International Gongkwon Yusul Association in Korea (inquire with any questions)
- This does not include training fees or school license.
